Durable cast iron casing, oil-filled motor housing for cooling and premium quality mechanical seals allow the 3887 & 3888 series Goulds sewage pumps to outlast the competition. They are the ideal sewage pump for residential, light commercial and light industrial applications. Depending on the model these pumps can handle 2" to 3" solids and are available in multiple discharge sizes. Goulds 3887 Series Features:

• Cast iron, semi-open, dynamically balanced, non-clogging impeller with pump-out vanes for mechanical seal protection (an optional silicon bronze impeller is available)
• Cast iron volute type casing for maximum efficiency, which is designed for easy installation
• Made in USA
• Mechanical seal with silicon carbide vs. silicon carbide sealing faces for superior abrasion resistance, stainless steel parts and BUNA-N elastomers
• Corrosion-resistant, stainless steel shaft with a threaded design
• Locknut to guard against component damage on accidental reverse rotation
• 300 series stainless steel fasteners
• Capable of running dry without damaging the components

Goulds 3888 Series Features:

• Cast iron, two-vane, semi-open, non-clogging impeller with pump-out vanes for mechanical seal protection, and balanced for smooth operation (an optional silicon bronze impeller is available)
• Heavy-duty, gray cast iron, volute type casing with a horizontal discharge
• Dual mechanical seals with stainless steel parts and BUNA-N elastomers: the outer seal has silicon carbide vs. silicon carbide sealing faces, the inner seal has carbon vs. ceramic sealing faces
• Upper and lower shaft seals, which are positioned independently and separated by an oil-filled chamber
• 300 series stainless steel shaft with a keyed design
• 300 series stainless steel fasteners
• Capable of running dry temporarily without damage to seals or motor
