75 HP Pump & Motor Assembly for a Florida Farm
When a large pump fails, finding the right replacement involves more than simply matching horsepower. The pump and motor must be properly selected for the application, assembled correctly, and prepared to perform reliably once installed.
Dade Pump & Supply, DBA De Ruiter Electric Motor Company, is an authorized distributor and repair shop with more than 66 years of experience serving the wastewater, sewage, agriculture, booster, water supply, and other industries. Our experienced technicians, vendor relationships, and in-house capabilities allow us to assist with projects ranging from a 1/2 HP pump repair to the assembly of large pump and motor combinations.
Whether you need an existing pump repaired or a new pump and motor package built for a specific application, our team has the personnel, equipment, tools, and experience to help.

Replacing a Large Agricultural Pump
Recently, a local Florida farm contacted Dade Pump for assistance replacing a large pump and motor on their property.
Large agricultural and water supply systems depend on properly sized equipment. Selecting a replacement pump requires more than choosing a motor with the same horsepower as the previous unit. The required duty point and application must be considered to identify a pump and motor combination capable of meeting the customer's needs.
Our team discussed the required duty point with the customer and worked with our manufacturers and vendors to identify a suitable solution.
Based on the specific requirements of the application, the customer selected a 75 HP Techtop electric motor coupled with an American Marsh flanged pump end.

Selecting the Right Pump and Motor Combination
Not every pump and motor combination is interchangeable. Proper selection requires consideration of the specific application and operating requirements.
For this project, Dade Pump sourced the 75 HP motor from Techtop and the flanged pump end from American Marsh. By working directly with trusted manufacturers and vendors, our team was able to coordinate the components needed for the customer's application.
Once the equipment arrived at our facility, the project moved from product selection to professional assembly.

Professional Pump and Motor Assembly
Our technician carefully assembled the American Marsh pump end and Techtop electric motor at Dade Pump's facility.
Proper assembly is especially important when working with large industrial and agricultural equipment. Before the pump and motor combination is sent to the customer, the components must be properly assembled and inspected to help ensure the equipment is ready for installation.
After assembly, the pump and motor combination was inspected and tested before moving to the shipping department.

From Assembly to Shipping
Large pumps and electric motors require careful handling during transportation. Once assembly and testing were complete, Dade Pump's shipping department fully crated the 75 HP pump and motor combination to help protect the equipment during transit.
Proper packaging is an important part of delivering large and heavy equipment. Our goal is to ensure the customer receives the correct pump and motor combination with the specifications needed for their application.

More Than Just a Pump Supplier
At Dade Pump, we understand that purchasing a pump or motor is often only one part of a larger project. Selecting the right equipment, coordinating components, assembling the pump and motor, and preparing it for shipment can all be important parts of getting the job done correctly.
Our team works with customers in agriculture, irrigation, water supply, wastewater, sewage, commercial, and industrial applications to help identify equipment that meets their specific requirements.
From the initial discussion and product selection to equipment assembly and shipping, Dade Pump works to provide practical solutions backed by more than six decades of hands-on pump and motor experience.
