The Flomatic 5733 1 1/4" 104P plastic foot valve is a compact, corrosion-resistant foot valve designed to help maintain pump prime, prevent backflow, and protect suction lines from debris. This model features a reinforced nylon (polyphenylene) body with a threaded female NPT connection, a polyethylene/acetal poppet, a Nitrile (Buna-N) seal, a stainless-steel spring, and a polyethylene tapered strainer. Operation: Flomatic 104P plastic foot valves are designed to provide years of trouble-free operation when properly sized and installed in suitable pumping and water system applications. The internal spring-loaded poppet closes quickly when flow stops to help maintain prime, minimize backflow, and reduce the risk of water hammer, while the integral tapered strainer helps keep larger debris out of the suction line.

Construction: The corrosion-resistant thermoplastic construction combines a reinforced nylon body with stainless-steel spring components and a polyethylene strainer to provide a durable, lightweight solution for residential and light commercial suction lines. The streamlined flow-through body and tapered screen support good hydraulic performance with relatively low head loss through the valve.

The integrated screen protects the valve, pump, and suction piping from harmful debris. Its high-flow open area and tapered geometry help minimize plugging while still providing an effective coarse filtration stage ahead of downstream equipment.
