A local hotel we work with needed repairs for their Goulds WS7534D4 model sewage pump. There were a few issues our technician identified after a visual review and disassembly. The main seal ruptured contaminating the oil and the power cord suffered multiple cuts. We were able to replace the power cord, change the mechanical seal and remove and refill the oil. After the repair we tested the motor and pump to ensure optimum performance when installed back on property.
In a "planned obsolesence" world, Dade Pump believes repairs can still be an option. Our technicians weigh the cost of repair vs replace and inform the customer of their options to make an informed decision. In this case the motor was in working condition and pump body was in great shape. The cost of the seal, power cord, oil and labor was less than 25% of a complete replacement pump.
