The Flomatic 543000117 54-3 FLO-E-CENTRIC® MJ plug valve is a quarter-turn eccentric plug valve supplied with a buried service gear and operating nut on top. Designed for buried service installations, this valve provides dependable shutoff in wastewater and solids-handling applications while allowing operation from grade.

Operation: The eccentric plug design allows the plug to lift away from the seat early in the stroke, minimizing seat wear and operating torque. The buried service gear enables controlled quarter-turn operation from grade using an operating nut.

Installation: Intended for underground installations where above-grade access is required. Mechanical joint ends comply with AWWA C111 for use in water and wastewater piping systems. Proper bedding, backfill, and alignment are required to ensure long service life.

Construction: Built on an epoxy-coated ductile-iron body with a resilient Buna-N plug, V-Type packing, and a self-lubricating Type 316 stainless-steel thrust bearing for reliable sealing and smooth operation in buried service.
