Flomatic 4767 63 4" Cast-Iron Foot Valve

The Flomatic 4767 4" 63 cast-iron foot valve is a spring-assisted suction line valve designed to help maintain pump prime and reduce backflow in general water and irrigation systems. It features an epoxy-coated cast iron body, a Nitrile (Buna-N) seal, a stainless-steel spring, a heavy-duty polyethylene strainer, and size-dependent guide and poppet materials for optimal performance. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 250 psi and a maximum temperature of 180°F (80°C).

Operation: Model 63 Foot valves are installed at the end of a suction line to help maintain pump prime and prevent reverse flow when the pump stops. The internal spring-loaded poppet opens under forward flow and closes quickly as flow reverses, helping to minimize backflow and loss of suction.

Construction: An epoxy-coated cast iron body provides strength and corrosion protection, while the internal poppet, guide, and spring are selected by size to balance durability and hydraulic performance. The heavy-duty strainer offers a large open area to reduce head loss while helping to keep larger debris out of the suction piping. FNPT threaded ends simplify installation into standard threaded piping systems.
