The Flomatic 3385BF 6" Model 745BF Flo-Flex® swing check valve with backflush device is a flanged, 45° seat check valve designed for dependable backflow prevention while providing a convenient backflush connection for maintenance and debris removal in suction and intake service. This model features an epoxy-coated ductile iron body and cover, a Buna‑N coated Flo-Flex® disc, and corrosion-resistant hardware for long service life in demanding water system environments. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 250 PSI and a maximum temperature of 140°F (60°C).

Specifications:

Standard: AWWA C508

Body: Epoxy-coated ductile iron

Cover: Epoxy-coated ductile iron

Disc: Flo-Flex® 45° seat, Buna‑N coated

Gasket: Buna‑N

Backflush Actuator: Brass

Max Pressure: 250 PSI

Max Temperature: 140°F (60°C)

Flange Rating: ASME Class 150

Operation: During normal forward flow, the disc opens to allow full flow through the valve. As flow decelerates and reverses, the Flo-Flex® disc closes smoothly on the 45° seat to reduce slam and minimize water hammer during pump shutdown. The integrated backflush device provides an external connection point that can be used for flushing or maintenance procedures as required by the system.

Construction: The valve body and cover are constructed from epoxy-coated ductile iron to provide strength and corrosion resistance. The Buna‑N coated Flo-Flex® disc delivers resilient sealing and dependable performance in water system service. Stainless-steel fasteners and a Buna‑N gasket support durable, leak-resistant assembly, while the brass backflush actuator provides a robust service connection.

Applications: Municipal water and wastewater systems, pump stations, raw water intakes, irrigation systems, and general utility pumping where a Class 150 flanged swing check valve with backflush capability is beneficial for maintenance and debris management.

Flomatic Quality: Flomatic valves are engineered and manufactured to deliver dependable performance, durability, and long service life in critical pumping applications.
