The Flomatic 2431S6VFD 888S6VFD 1 1/2" silent wafer-style check valve is a spring-loaded, center-guided check valve engineered for quiet operation and reduced water hammer in variable flow and VFD-controlled pumping systems. This model features an all 316 stainless-steel body, poppet, and seat with an EPDM seal for drip-tight closure.

Operation: The spring-loaded poppet begins to close as flow decreases and fully closes at zero velocity, minimizing reverse flow and hydraulic shock. The compact wafer design supports installation between flanges and allows direct mounting of butterfly valves in 2"–6" sizes without a spacer.
