The Flomatic C103-2P5-THD C103 threaded pressure reducing valve with check is a pilot-operated automatic control valve designed to reduce high upstream pressure to a stable, lower downstream pressure in water system applications. The external check feature helps prevent reverse flow in the event of downstream pressure reversal.

Specifications:

Valve Type: Pilot operated pressure reducing valve with external check

Body Style: Full port globe style (Model C)

Connection: Threaded (NPT)

Function: Maintains a preset constant downstream pressure regardless of variations in flow rate and/or upstream pressure; closes on downstream pressure reversal

Body & Cover: Ductile iron (cast construction)

Stem: 304 stainless-steel

Spring: 302 stainless-steel

Fasteners: 18-8 stainless-steel

Seat Seal: Buna-N (standard)

Diaphragm: Nylon reinforced Buna-N (standard)

Coating: NSF 61 approved fusion epoxy

Pressure Class: Threaded (NPT) maximum pressure listed at 400 psi (note: contact factory if working pressure exceeds 300 psi)

Max Operating Temperature (by seal material): Buna-N 180°F; EPDM 225°F; Viton 350°F

Standard Pilot Control Details: Fixed orifice; opening speed control standard; optional downstream sensing port for gauge; full range of spring settings available in ranges of 0 to 400 psi

Weight: 57 lbs

Operation: The C103 pressure reducing valve automatically maintains a preset downstream pressure by throttling the main valve diaphragm assembly as demand and upstream pressure change. The external check feature allows the valve to close when downstream pressure exceeds upstream pressure.

Construction: The valve body and cover are ductile iron. A diaphragm-actuated design forms a sealed chamber above the diaphragm to separate operating pressure from line pressure. Stainless-steel components and fusion epoxy coating support durability and long-term service.

Applications: Municipal water distribution, pressure zone control, commercial and industrial water service, and installations requiring downstream pressure regulation with reverse flow protection.

Flomatic Quality: Flomatic products are engineered to meet demanding water system requirements and are built for dependable performance. Flomatic pilot operated control valves are built to order and configured to meet application requirements.
